Club Purpose

(a) Promote dialogue and collaboration among those who work in or are interested in the ceramic arts

(b) Foster artistic and educational activities within the Club and the community

(c) Collaborate with other groups of potters and craftspeople

(d) Promote exhibitions and sale of members’ work

(e) Seek to receive, acquire and hold gifts, donations, grants, legacies and devices

Benefits of Membership

  • Connect with fellow potters from Courtenay, Cumberland, Comox, Campbell River and North Island
     

  • Club runs from September to June
     

  • Access to the North Island College (ceramics studio one day a week from September to June (exact start and end dates depend on NIC's pottery program
     

  • Learn through member-driven workshops and social events
     

  • Club members are invited to the Board's monthly general meetings 
     

  • Get involved in the club through volunteer opportunities
     

  • Participate in our pottery sales
     

  • NIC kiln firings:

    • Weekly electric kiln firings

    • Car and Soda (gas-fired) kilns at least once a year.

    • Gas Test kiln at least once a year

    • Raku kiln (if there is enough interest)
